Sherry J. Ortiz, Partner, New York office, Gallagher Aerospace, is the U.S. Head of Aerospace Claims. She manages a wide array of claims in aircraft and engine leasing, airline, general aviation, and products liability, as well as broad experience in emergency responses, accident investigation, trial strategy and litigation management.

Ms. Ortiz graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aerospace Studies, including minors in Aviation Safety, Aircraft Accident Investigation, Atmospheric Environmental Science and Humanities. She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School.

She has worked in private practice, the Government at the FAA in the New England Regional Counsel’s Office, and in the insurance sector.  She has been a licensed pilot for over 25 years.
