Salvador Velasco has recently joined the AERO board of directors; he is an emergency response professional with over 22 years of experience in ER planning, logistics, training, deployment response, and after-action analysis. He is currently the Director of Emergency Response for Frontier Airlines. Formerly he worked for Spirit Airlines as Senior Manager of Emergency Response, for Kenyon International as Director of Human Support Services, and for TACA Airlines as Family Assistance Coordinator.

His real-life experience includes having assisted in supporting persons affected by natural disasters (earthquakes and hurricanes) and survivors and families of victims of aircraft accidents in Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, India, Libya, Panama, Peru, Spain, Libya, India, and Canada. Salvador currently resides in Houston, TX, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, reading, bike riding, and exploring nature which includes mountain hiking and going to the beach.
