He has responded to aviation incidents, including managing the Special Assistance Centre during AC 624, provided support to other airlines during responses, coordinated aid to passengers during natural disasters and was heavily involved in the airline’s COVID-19 response.
Robert is known for his collaborative approach and openness, always being ready to share his knowledge with others, even if they are direct competitors, as demonstrated by his being presented a Safety award by a competing airline in appreciation for his collaboration.
He is also an experienced facilitator, having instructed over 1500 individuals in courses such as emergency special assistance, emergency response introductions, crisis management systems, and more.
Robert received the Emergency Management Exemplary Service Award from the Government of Canada in 2025 and is also a proud veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces.
He speaks several languages, has done voice-acting in his spare time, is profoundly interested in history, enjoys travel, but most of all loves to meet new people and learn what they are passionate about.
